VIC - The Impact of Government 2.0 on Information Managers

It's clear that the combination of policy directives from above and technology maturity and adoption from outside is driving a fundamental shift in the way in which information is created, managed and shared between the public service and the citizens it serves.

The final report of the Government 2,0 Taskforce, Engage - Getting on with Government 2.0, provides recommendations, guidelines and advice on how these trends can be capitalised upon for the benefit of the community.

But what impact will this shift have on those that need to effectively and efficiently manage this information? What challenges does it raise, particularly around the new Right to Information legislation that is becoming increasingly widely adopted? And what opportunities does it present for the Information Management profession to shine?
